Sawamura Oneup Shad

SAWAMURA’s One’up SHAD is a shad-tail soft bait designed to make its presence known over a wide area on the retrieve, centered around a “Wobroll” action that combines the wobbling and rolling motions created as the tail catches water. The tail, which flows smoothly from the body, firmly catches water to generate a unique swimming action. The original 5-inch size is compatible with a wide range of rigs, including weightless, Texas, jighead, Carolina, and rubber jig trailer (scone rig) setups. Its body shape also provides excellent snag resistance. For the 5-inch model, Gamakatsu Worm 316 #5/0 is recommended as the hook, with the setup designed to maintain balance while swimming.

The derivative One’up SHAD SLIM 4" features a slimmer profile than the original. Its design allows the tail to catch water easily even on a slow retrieve, producing strong vibration and a sharp rolling action. It supports a wide range of setups, including weightless, Texas, leaderless drop shot, neko, wacky-style, drop shot, jighead, and rubber jig rigs, including lightweight presentations. Across the size range, including the ECO One’up SHAD 5-inch, anglers can select the model according to the intended application and bait size.
