ZAPPU’s BREDY was developed as an easy-to-use rig that can be fished simply by casting and retrieving after rigging a small worm in the 3-inch class. It features a screw-style worm keeper that makes it easy to thread the worm straight, a hook designed with real-world fishing performance in mind, and weight placement that stabilizes the balance during the retrieve. Working as one with the worm, it creates an action that takes advantage of the blade’s rotation. Willow and Colorado blades are available, allowing anglers to choose between different levels of flash and attraction according to the blade shape.

The basic technique is to retrieve at a steady speed after casting. It can be used as a search bait around cover, as well as a pilot rig for quickly locating fish across a wide area. The design allows the hook size to be selected according to the worm’s shape: #2 is the standard size, while #3 is suitable for slim-bodied worms. Weights are available in 0.9 g, 1.8 g, 3.5 g, and 5.0 g, accommodating techniques ranging from slow retrieves through shallow water to faster, deeper presentations. By combining the blade type, hook size, and weight, anglers can adjust the retrieve speed, depth, and balance with the worm.
