ZAPP GAIN CORPORATION INC.’s FLOATING BOARD is a tuning board designed to adjust the buoyancy and underwater posture of plugs. Made from a highly buoyant porous material, this sticker-type board can be used to adjust the buoyancy of suspending minnows and shads, change the fall speed of sinking minnows, and fine-tune their underwater posture.
The slim 1.5 mm-thick board conforms easily to the curved surfaces of plugs and can be cut into any desired shape with scissors. Its thin profile also allows multiple layers to be applied, making it possible to adjust each lure’s buoyancy on the water. The water-resistant urethane material maintains its buoyancy, while the light gray color is designed to remain inconspicuous. It can also be colored with an oil-based marker. In addition to helping suspending minnows and shads remain stationary more easily, it can be used to increase the buoyancy of topwater plugs, adjust the running depth and retrieve path of crankbaits, and make sinking plugs sink more slowly. By adjusting the application position and surface area, and combining cutting with layered application, this item can be set up to achieve the desired floating or sinking action.
