ZAPPU’s BONE RATTLER is a lure component designed to add a sonic appeal to soft plastic worms with a lower-pitched rattle sound, distinct from that of conventional plastic or glass rattle chambers. The rattle chamber is made from a heat-resistant plastic material known as “bone material,” and is designed to produce a low-frequency sound different from a high-pitched rattle. It was developed as a way to target fish that have become less responsive to conventional rattle sounds by presenting a different sound quality.
It can be used in combination with an inch-wacky rig to increase its appeal, inserted into a weightless worm to produce sound from inside, or attached to a rubber jig using rubber or similar material. It can be rigged to suit the lure or presentation, and adds a rattle sound without significantly altering the worm’s profile, making it suitable for situations where you want to add a sonic element to the lure’s standard action. It is available in three sizes—SS, S, and M—so you can choose the appropriate size for the worm or rig being used.
