Gary Yamamoto’s ECO BAIT series carries on the design concepts and action of his established models while being offered as Feco-certified products. The lineup includes Yamasenko-style baits that fall horizontally when rigged weightless, the 5-inch Fat Yamasenko, designed for long casts and easy pitching into cover, the 2.5-inch Yamatanu­ki, whose full-body slits make it easier to set the hook, and the 3.5-inch Yamamimizu, which rolls from head to tail in response to angler input despite its non-tapered body. Differences in size and body shape affect the fall posture, action, and rigs best suited to each bait, allowing anglers to choose the ideal model for changing conditions.

The 2.5-inch Yamatanuki features a bulky body and distinctive tail, producing a darting action when twitched and generating a natural tail vibration as it rolls through current. The 3.5-inch Yamamimizu is designed to transmit movement from the hook point throughout the entire bait when used on a neko rig or wacky-style dropshot, and it also works with weightless and jighead rigs. The 3.5-inch Heart Tail features a subtle, high-pitch action created by its flattened body and small tail. Weightless, it can be retrieved just below the surface, and it is also compatible with Carolina, Texas, dropshot, jig trailer, and bladed jig applications. Yamasenko-style baits can be used with weightless, Texas, Carolina, and free rigs, with setups tailored to each model’s size, bulk, and action.
