Gary Yamamoto Mockory Claw

Gary Yamamoto’s Mokory Craw is a craw-style soft lure featuring rabbit-ear-like tails known by the development code name “Rabbit Tail.” It is designed to create strong water displacement and a wide range of actions by taking advantage of the tails’ substantial weight. Despite its compact body, the water movement generated by the tails gives it a strong presence, while the flat body is designed to promote solid hooksets and the body components produce subtle vibrations.

Available in one size—3.8 inches—the recommended hook sizes are #1 and #1/0. Designed primarily for mid-water presentations, it can be used for fishing cover, swimming on a Texas rig or jig, free rigs, and weightless presentations. The water movement generated by its substantial claws allows the action to be adjusted to suit the rig, from subtle presentations with limited forward movement to swimming retrieves.
