Gary Yamamoto Cut Tail

Gary Yamamoto’s KUT TAIL WORM is a straight worm designed to deliver a natural presentation by taking advantage of its slim body and cut-tail design, particularly while falling on a weightless wacky rig. Available in sizes from 3.5 to 10 inches, the 3.5-inch model creates less water resistance than the 4-inch model and has a slightly faster fall rate. On weightless and neko rigs, it is easy to manipulate underwater, while the 4-inch model is primarily intended for falling presentations on a wacky rig and has also proven effective on a free rig. The 5-inch model is recommended as a size particularly well suited to neko rigs.

Depending on the size, suitable rigging options include weightless wacky, neko, jig head, Texas, weightless, drop-shot, split-shot, and Carolina rigs. The 5-3/4-inch model is well suited to creating an enticing, fluttering action when falling on a weightless wacky rig or when rigged with an offset hook, and it is also suitable for neko, Texas, and Carolina rigs. The 10-inch model is a long size designed with big bass in mind, and on weightless and neko rigs it attracts fish with a winding, undulating action underwater.
