Gary Yamamoto’s 2″ YAMASENKO is a straight worm that uses nearly the same design from 2 to 7 inches, allowing you to select the appropriate size according to the size of the bass and baitfish, water clarity, fishing pressure, and conditions. The compact 2-inch model follows the basic shape and applications of the YAMASENKO.

It excels with a weightless rig and features a horizontal-falling action. With a free rig, it can create a bottom-crawling action after the bait falls freely. With a Texas rig, it is easy to work deep into cover, while a Carolina rig allows for applications focused on long-distance casting. When paired with a nail sinker, it can also be used as a backslide rig by inserting a light nail sinker on the side opposite the hook.

With a weightless rig, the standard method is to rig it with an offset hook, adjusting the hook position and whether or not to use a sinker according to the rig and presentation. Since the basic design and applications are nearly the same across sizes, you can choose from the compact 2-inch silhouette to larger sizes depending on the conditions.
