KEITECH’s Glide Camaron is a craw-style soft bait designed to produce a distinctive back-slide action with minimal angler input, from the fall after the cast through rod manipulation. It is made from high-density plastic, with specially formulated salt positioned in the rear of the body to balance fall speed and durability. When slack line is introduced during the cast, the bait falls while gliding significantly away from the angler. During the retrieve, it also slides backward each time the rod is moved, making it easier to keep the bait in the target area for longer.
The bait is designed to be used primarily with a slack-line fall after landing, then moved around the bottom or near cover with rod work. Its long-distance movement during the fall also makes it suitable for approaches that send the bait to a position away from the original casting point. It is also easy to impart action while keeping the lure in one spot, making it suitable for bed fishing. The basic setup is a weightless back-slide rig, with the manufacturer suggesting rig examples using 3/0 or 4/0 wide-gap hooks. The model measures 3.5 inches and weighs approximately 3/8 ounce.
