Keitech Flapper Grab

Keitech’s Flapper Grub was developed by combining the classic grub design with a unique flapper tail, allowing anglers to cover a wide range of depths with a simple “cast and retrieve” presentation. As the flapper tail at the end of the curly tail catches water, the entire tail moves dramatically and displaces water, creating a highly noticeable action while swimming. While steady midwater retrieves are the primary application, it can also be buzzed across the surface on a weightless rig.

The body features a carefully designed density for maintaining proper posture and balance, and it is also characterized by a strong squid-based scent. The 4-inch model weighs just under 1/4 ounce, and 1/0 or 2/0 offset hooks are recommended. In addition to weightless rigs, it can be rigged with a 1/8-ounce, 1/0-size jig head or used as a trailer on a 1/2-ounce Model 2 Football Jig. Setting the hook straight through the body helps maintain proper posture, while varying the retrieve speed and depth allows it to be used for steady retrieves, just-below-the-surface buzzing, and more.
