Keitech Casting Jig

KEITECH’s Model I Tungsten Casting Jig is a rubber jig designed with an emphasis on penetrating cover and maintaining a stable position when it reaches the bottom. Made from a tungsten compound, its teardrop-shaped head is smaller and harder than a lead head, with a shape that slips through cover easily and a balance that helps prevent it from tipping onto its side. The head features a powder-coated finish, while the 150-strand skirt is made from KEITECH’s proprietary SR-40 silicone. The ultrafine, soft material is hand-tied so that the skirt moves subtly after landing and during retrieves, while also maintaining the overall silhouette of the jig when paired with a trailer.

The weed guard is secured with hand-applied glue and designed to maintain the proper positioning in relation to the custom Gamakatsu 3/0 hook. It is suitable for techniques that take advantage of the head shape, including casting around cover, dragging it along the bottom after it lands, and applying light shakes. Version 2 features a matte finish for enhanced durability and uses a Double Spike trailer keeper that helps hold the trailer securely.
