OWNER’s Cultiva JH-38 Okappari Head is a jig head designed to address the tendency of conventional round types to snag in weeds and the tendency of arky and bullet types to slip too easily through cover. The head features a “Weed Eye,” designed to catch in the weeds once, then trigger an action to entice bass to strike. Its unique shape, with the gaps filled in around the eye, helps prevent debris from becoming tangled around the eye area.
The hook is an offset hook with the profile of an Okappari hook, designed to provide weedless performance at the hook itself as well. Rig it with a soft bait and cast it around weeds, then work it by catching the head on cover and freeing it with rod movements. Rather than completely avoiding weeds and sliding over them, it is designed to catch in them moderately and turn that contact into an enticing presentation, making it well suited for probing weedy areas with a soft-bait jig head rig.
