Gamakatsu Double Hook

Gamakatsu DOUBLE 21 is a double hook designed for tuning the hooks on plugging lures, with an 80-degree hook opening angle. The narrower opening angle makes it easier to avoid obstacles, while the hook’s shape allows it to fit closely along the lure’s body when attached. Because the hooks are less likely to protrude significantly from the lure, the design helps minimize interference with the lure’s original action after replacement and helps maintain a crisp action. A higher-grade wire is used, with strength also considered for attachment to and use with plugs.

Suitable for tuning poppers, pencil baits, crankbaits, spoons, and more, it is available in sizes from #12 to 1/0 to match the lure’s size and intended use. Sizes #2–#8 are well suited to bass and sea bass lures, #1 and 1/0 to swimbaits and big plugs, and #10 and #12 to small plugs. Surface finishes include NSB and Nano Smooth Coat, allowing you to choose the size and finish according to the size and intended use of the lure being fitted.
