O.S.P’s KAREN180 was developed as a next-generation big bait that combines the vibration of a hard bait with the natural action of a soft bait, making it suitable for a wide range of situations from open water to areas around cover. Measuring 180 mm and weighing approximately 50 g, it features a floating design with a hard material in the head section and a soft material in the tail section. The wide square lip provides a distinct feel during retrieves and helps the lure deflect away from cover, allowing you to guide it along the outside of cover as you approach. The soft-material body produces a natural action unlike that of a jointed bait and is also designed for skipping.

During dead-sticking or an “I” retrieve on the surface, as well as a dead-slow retrieve, only the thin tail section moves naturally, enabling a subtle presentation to fish focused on the surface. With a swing or stop-and-go retrieve, short twitches create a head-swinging action, while short jerks produce a wide-wobbling action. At medium retrieve speeds, the wobble-and-roll generated by the hard-material head combines with the natural movement of the soft body, maintaining a stable action even during fast retrieves. It is equipped with a Hayabusa KENCLAW #1 hook on the front and a #3 hook on the rear, and includes a replacement body and body-retaining pin. After use, storing the head and soft body separately is recommended.
