OSP MMZ

OSP’s MMZ is a soft lure developed with the goal of enticing wary bass to bite during sight fishing. Based on a worm-style design, every aspect has been refined, including size, shape, firmness, softness, and the balance between casting distance and sink rate. Rather than using the straight profile of a typical straight worm, it features an intentionally curved body that creates a silhouette different from what fish are accustomed to seeing. The material combines the durability required for real-world fishing with a natural softness, while the salt content is adjusted to provide an easy-to-manage sink rate when fished weightless. Underwater, it is designed to be used with minimal movement of the lure itself; as it falls, the curved body presents an irregular posture, making a no-action presentation the foundation of its design.

The MMZ is available in Chibi, Nami, and Deka sizes. Chibi is suited to situations when bass are highly wary of lures, Nami offers a balance of casting distance and ease of use, and Deka is intended for approaches that take advantage of its greater profile and volume. The basic setup is a weightless rig, with Chibi and Nami typically rigged through the center of the body with a trout hook. They can also be nose-hooked through the tip to enable an action that stretches and contracts the body. Deka can be rigged wacky-style or nose-hooked, and is also compatible with leaderless drop-shot and neko rigs. It can be used with trout hooks, offset hooks, and nail sinkers. The high-buoyancy model uses a firmer material than the standard model, providing a different feel during retrieves and allowing presentations at the surface.
