OSP’s O.S.P HOOK SCRUM is a worm hook designed to bring out the full performance of worms on cover neko rigs. By embedding the hook point into the worm to reduce snagging on cover and using its unique V-arm structure to grip the worm, it helps keep the worm securely in place even after repeated casts into and retrieves through cover. It also makes it easy to rig the worm straight and helps prevent the rig from rolling onto its side.
Underwater, the hook is designed to keep the hook point facing upward, making it easier to transmit rod movements to the worm even when it is suspended in cover and providing a consistent shaking action. The hook is intended to be rigged with the point concealed in the worm, while allowing it to catch easily in the upper jaw when a fish bites. For use in heavy cover, it features a low-stretch Japanese-made hook that is also suitable for power finesse presentations combining PE line with an MH-class rod. Available sizes are #2, #1, #1/0, and #2/0, allowing you to choose according to the worm’s bulk and the density of the cover.
