OSP Drive SS Gill

OSP DoLiveSS-Gill is a soft plastic goby designed to combine wide-ranging search performance with fish-catching appeal for bass that selectively feed on bluegill. During the fall, its flattened body pushes a moderate amount of water while spiraling widely, creating the natural swimming action of an unsuspecting bluegill. When given sharp lifts along the bottom, it produces a tricky action whose next movement is difficult to predict.

The low-center-of-gravity body helps keep the hook point facing upward during the retrieve, making it less likely to turn downward when contacting brush or vegetation. Its tail features an octagonal design that detects even slight changes in water flow and flutters at a high pitch, even when retrieved slowly. The 2-inch model was designed as an easy-to-handle size while retaining the irregular action characteristic of bluegill-style soft plastics. On a light Texas rig, it delivers a spiraling fall along with a “circus action” that resists moving toward the angler relative to the distance traveled. For a dropshot rig, the standard setup is an offset hook size #2–#3 with a 1.8–5 g sinker; for a light Texas rig, a sinker of approximately 2.7 g is recommended. The 3-inch and 3.6-inch models are suited to presentations that take advantage of their larger silhouettes. The 3.6-inch model is primarily used on a Texas rig with a 3/0–4/0 offset hook and a sinker of 3.5 g or heavier.
