OSP’s HP 3D-Wacky is a straight twin-tail worm designed to enhance both attraction and bite conversion when fished on a neko rig. Its development centered on creating a vibration that makes the entire body tremble intensely, with the material’s rebound and salt content carefully refined. Because the body and tails push water differently, it produces a complex action unlike that of a conventional straight worm.
The ribless, untapered design also helps transmit vibrations generated by the body all the way to the tips of the two tails. When shaken on the bottom or during the fall, it moves with a trembling action; when swum, it produces a fast, writhing vibration. During a “chandelier shake” suspended from cover, it makes an irregular, three-dimensional sliding fall around the hanging point as its pivot. It is primarily designed for a neko rig with a 0.9–5 g nail sinker inserted into the head, with a 2–3 g sinker also envisioned as a setup for generating strong vibrations. It is compatible with weedless masu hooks and offset-style masu hooks with the point embedded in the worm, and the body features raised markers for hook placement. By rotating the worm 90 degrees from the marker position when rigging, you can create a different action with the twin tails aligned vertically. It can also be fished weightless or on a jighead wacky rig, and is available in 3.7-inch, 4.3-inch, and 5-inch sizes.
