OSP Override

OSP’s OVER RIDE is designed to combine the quick start-up action demanded of a metal vibration lure with a high-level sliding fall on the lift-and-fall retrieve. It was developed to trigger reaction bites not only during the cold-water season, but also under high-pressure conditions and throughout the peak season. It starts swimming quickly on an almost vertical lift, while on the fall it tilts to the side and produces either a straight sliding fall or a slide that changes direction from side to side, creating an action that is less likely to become repetitive. Its center-weighted balance helps reduce the likelihood of the hooks tangling with the line when repeatedly working the lure with a lift-and-fall retrieve.

The line tie features three positions. The front eye is designed for fast retrieves with the lure running in an almost horizontal posture, the normal position provides a wide range of retrieve speeds and a stable vibration, and the rear eye is suited to slow retrieves and maintaining the lure at depths just below the surface or near the bottom. The basic technique is to reach the bottom before beginning a lift-and-fall retrieve, and it is also well suited to lifting the lure, pausing, and then allowing it to fall quickly. The range includes sizes from 1/8 oz (3.5 g, 35 mm) to 1/2 oz (14 g, 52 mm). The 1/8 oz model is suited to targeting shallow water around 1–5 m deep with spinning tackle, while the 3/16 oz model is ideal for relatively shallow ranges where its compact profile and slow fall can be utilized. The 1/4 oz model allows anglers to switch between two line-eye positions, adjusting the presentation according to the target depth and retrieve speed.
