OSP HP Shad Tail

OSP’s HP SHADTAIL was developed as a compact shad-tail worm compatible with a variety of rigs. Its design is intended to bring out the tail’s performance during both steady retrieves and rod shakes. The tail vibrates strongly regardless of retrieve speed, creating an action that pushes water. With weightless Texas rigs and jighead rigs, a steady retrieve produces a wobbling action that shakes the entire body, with the tail’s vibration transmitted all the way to the head section. With drop-shot rigs and Neko rigs, the tail vibrates powerfully in response to rod movements, generating water displacement. It is available in 2, 2.5, 3.1, 3.6, and 4.2-inch sizes.

The head section is designed with added thickness, making it suitable for setups using a nail sinker. The HP SHADTAIL 2.5-inch features guide lines on the top and bottom of the head, along with a centerline through the middle of the body, for straight hook insertion. The slit along the back makes it easier to conceal the hook point, while the ridges inside the slit and the thick belly help hold the hook in place. The three dots on the sides of the body serve as reference points for the hook point. On a Neko rig, the first dot can be used as a reference, while with a jighead or small rubber jig, they help identify the appropriate insertion point for the application. It is compatible with weightless, drop-shot, Carolina, and jighead rigs, wacky rigs using a nail sinker, and as a trailer for small rubber jigs. The tail also continues to sway as the bait falls on lightweight rigs.
