OSP Drive Stick

OSP Drive Stick combines the characteristics of a high-specific-gravity straight worm specialized for fall presentations with those of a stickbait designed for twitching. On a weightless rig, it falls while rolling its body and swinging its tail from side to side, producing an active, self-generated action rather than simply trembling as it drops. When twitched with the rod, it produces irregular darts that make the body writhe up, down, left, and right. In addition, the uniquely shaped tail vibrates with every turn, creating the impression of a baitfish suddenly darting into motion.

The belly of the body is heavily impregnated with salt to lower the center of gravity and stabilize the falling posture, while the specific-gravity balance between the belly and back is used to tune the action. Squid and shrimp powders are also mixed into the material. Three holes are provided as reference points for hook placement. Rigging toward the head produces a forward-sliding fall accompanied by body roll and tail swing; rigging toward the tail produces a vertical fall with subtle rolling and high-pitch tail vibration; and rigging in the middle provides an intermediate posture and action. In addition to weightless rigs, it is suitable for Carolina rigs, Texas rigs, jigheads, and Neko rigs. With a weightless rig, the sliding fall and vertical fall can be selected by changing the hook position. On a Texas rig, a light sinker produces a mostly horizontal sliding fall, while a heavier sinker creates a more vertical fall. A 3/0 offset hook is recommended for the 4.5-inch model, and a 5/0 for the 6-inch model.
