OSP High Cut

OSP’s HighCut is a minnow-like shad plug that entices fish with a small-fish silhouette and tight action, even in tough conditions. Its Honeycomb Super HP body combines reduced weight with a low-center-of-gravity design to achieve an agile swimming start and high-pitch action. The round lip catches water even on slow retrieves and is designed to help the lure recover its posture after contacting the bottom or cover. The fixed-weight model delivers a stable action and handles fast retrieves effectively, while the floating HighCut F uses its buoyancy to navigate light cover such as weeds, standing timber, and rocky areas while targeting shallow water.

The basic retrieve is a straight retrieve, adjustable from slow to fast according to the conditions. It can also be used by allowing the lure to float up after the lip or body contacts something, or by combining darts and rolls produced by jerks and twitches. The suspending HighCut SP is easy to use with pauses in the mid-water column, while the HighCut DR-SP is designed to target a deeper range with a lip that is 2 mm longer and a magnetically controlled moving weight. The HighCut SR targets shallow water, covering a range centered around approximately 40–100 cm and reaching a maximum depth of approximately 1.3 m, while its tungsten moving weight stabilizes the lure’s posture in flight. Choose from the F, SP, DR series, and SR models according to the desired buoyancy setting and target depth.
