Evergreen Gezzy

EVERGREEN International’s Geji is a 1.8-inch sinking insect lure designed for easy casting weightless and for attracting fish simply by letting it fall. Its body features 12 jointed appendages that imitate the legs of an arthropod. By varying the shapes and positioning of the forelegs, middle legs, hind legs, and tail legs, the lure produces different vibrations as it falls. The forelegs create subtle lateral movement through their joints and asymmetrical, thin webbing, while the middle and hind legs produce fine vibrations, and the tail legs create delicate trembling to replicate underwater movement.

The upper-body edges, inspired by an insect’s elytra and abdomen, create resistance to help control the fall speed while maintaining a horizontal posture. The thickened abdomen provides casting distance despite the lure’s compact body, while the deep ribs are designed to allow the body to fold easily when a fish strikes, helping expose the hook point. A slit in the center of the body serves as a guide for balanced rigging with an offset hook. For weightless rigging, offset hooks in sizes #1 to 1/0 are recommended. It is primarily used on a free fall, and also performs well when shaken after reaching the bottom or paused after twitching.
