Evergreen Belcanto

EVERGREEN’s Belcanto is a silent moving bait that combines the strengths of a crankbait and a shad, offering easy handling on baitcasting tackle and a natural, subtle vibration that does not trigger overly aggressive bites. Its low-profile, shad-like silhouette is paired with a wide, cylindrical fat body capable of carrying sufficient weight, achieving a stable flight posture with reduced air resistance. It is designed for easy casting in strong winds, where shads can be difficult to cast, as well as in situations that require long-distance casts.

The three low-center-of-gravity fixed weights distributed along the bottom of the body enable quick startup despite the silent design, generating a high-pitch rolling action that tilts around the lower section of the body. Weight positioned toward the rear also enhances long-casting performance and the lure’s ability to maintain its depth in a horizontal posture. The teardrop-shaped lip, which gradually widens and rounds from its narrow base toward the tip, produces a moderate pull and a subtle vibration that is not overly strong. It grips the water and swims even on a slow retrieve, while remaining stable up to an ultra-fast retrieve. At high speeds, it produces a “hunting motion”—an extremely subtle, brief deviation from its path followed by recovery, without needing to contact cover.

This floating model measures 6.3 cm in length and weighs 10.0 g, with a running depth of 1.0–1.4 m. Its primary presentation is a steady retrieve through the mid-depth range, with retrieve speed adjustable from a slow, deliberate crawl to a high-speed retrieve. It is equipped with size #6 EG Treble Magic hooks with a fluorocarbon coating on both the front and rear. These hooks are relatively large for the body size. The line eye is #2, and both the front and rear hook eyes are #2.
