Evergreen Cover Creeper

Evergreen’s Cover Creeper is a bite-sized, compact finesse cover jig designed for fishing cover where full-size jigs are difficult to get bites on and standard small rubber jigs raise concerns about snagging and hook strength. Its wide, low-center-of-gravity resin tungsten head resists tipping over on cover and the bottom, while the leading edge rides over obstacles without wedging into gaps, reducing snags. Its moderate tendency to catch and release from cover can be used to work precise pin spots.

The fine silicone skirt responds to even slight water movement, while its three-level cut lengths—short, medium, and long—create a three-dimensional profile and a staggered flare. The brush guard is tuned to balance cover-deflection performance with hook-setting performance, and the 2.8 g, 3.5 g, 4.5 g, and 5.8 g models use fewer strands to accommodate light tackle. The original-shape, medium-heavy-wire hook features a fluorocarbon coating, while the 0.4 mm wire keeper securely holds small worms. In addition to dragging, bottom-bumping, and swimming, bottom jerking with trailers such as antlion-style soft baits can produce a side-to-side dog-walking action. The 7 g, 8.8 g, and 10.5 g models are compact heavy versions with more brush-guard strands and increased hook size and wire diameter.
