EVERGREEN’s GranSearcher is a cranking shad that combines efficient coverage of a wide area with bite-inducing performance designed to minimize unnatural sensations for fish. Its 6.5 cm, 8.0 g body delivers a moderate level of appeal—neither too strong nor too subtle—while offering excellent castability with baitcasting tackle. Its natural shad-like profile and ultra-high-pitch, extremely tight rolling action, distinct from that of a crankbait, produce flashes and afterimages. It also features a subtle rattle sound, adding a measured level of appeal to its natural movement.
Its low-profile shad shape, broad tail section, and weight-transfer system that shifts the center of gravity toward the rear provide excellent casting distance. The flat back catches water and maintains a crisp action even during slow retrieves, while the contrast with the sides enhances the flash effect as the lure rolls. The magnetic weight-transfer system quickly locks the weight in place after landing, while also enhancing action response on startup, after pauses, and following contact with cover.
The GranSearcher swims stably from ultra-slow to ultra-fast retrieves and can be used for steady midwater retrieves with an almost horizontal posture. Its floating configuration and bill shape also allow it to deflect off cover while making contact with the bottom in shallow water. With a diving range of 1.8–2.2 m, it is suited to everything from searching broad areas with a standard retrieve to targeting first breaks and areas around the bottom. The standard hooks are EG Treble Magic size 8.
