Evergreen TG Blow

EVERGREEN’s TG BLOW is designed with an emphasis on compactness achieved through a high-density, sintered tungsten head and the fall speed needed to produce the reaction effect of a football jig. Using tungsten with a specific gravity of approximately 18, its head is smaller and falls faster than lead or resin-based tungsten models in the same weight class. The ultra-hard material also produces a sound that effectively knocks against the bottom and makes it easier to detect changes in bottom structure.

Rather than concentrating the weight solely in the head, weight is also distributed to the keeper section, which suppresses the hook-side rise. Combined with its low center of gravity, this makes the jig less likely to tip onto its side and helps it maintain a posture that keeps the entire body in contact with the bottom. It stays close to the bottom, and when worked with a dragging retrieve or rod action, its speed can be adjusted while maintaining a stable posture. The compact head and brush guard are also designed to help avoid the snags commonly associated with football jigs. The wire keeper helps prevent the trailer from slipping during aggressive rod movements, making the jig well suited to compact trailers that take advantage of its quick, responsive action. The lineup includes 7 g (1/4 oz), 10 g (3/8 oz), and 14 g (1/2 oz) models. Official recommendations are the Skul’pin 2.8-inch for the 1/4 oz model, and the Skul’pin 3.5-inch for the 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz models.
