EVERGREEN’s Head Shaker is a shad-tail worm designed to achieve a unique swimming action, with the head making subtle side-to-side movements while the entire body undulates. Not only the tail itself, but also the shape, thickness, and angle of the joint section have been precisely engineered, allowing the tail to move easily even in minimal current while maintaining stability during fast retrieves. The tail’s movement is efficiently transmitted through the body to the head, creating its distinctive head-wobbling action. In addition, the nearly flat-sided body and forward recess grip and displace water, combining with the tail movement to generate vibration throughout the entire body.
When rigged weightless, it can be retrieved from ultra-slow to fast speeds, producing a swimming action suited to the retrieve speed. With a weighted hook rig, it is easy to keep the bait at the desired depth and is also well suited as a trailer for a swim jig. In particular, pairing it with the Grass Ripper allows anglers to take advantage of both baits’ movements for an effective swimming action. Ribs in the dorsal slit make it easy to rig while concealing the hook point, while the ventral slit is deeper than the dorsal slit. This provides a reliable guide for hook placement, and the body is designed to collapse easily when setting the hook. The 5-inch model also features a marker indicating the hook position when rigged with the Grass Ripper.
