Evergreen’s Kicker Frog is a compact frog developed to make frog fishing more accessible and enjoyable. It features a slim yet durable wide-gap original single hook, designed to achieve both a high hook-up rate and excellent weedless performance. When it lands on the water, its hollow body produces a natural sound, while rod manipulation creates a quick dog-walking action. This floating frog measures 5.8 cm in length and weighs 13.0 g, making it suitable for everything from open water and light cover to bushes and overhanging cover.
The belly features a keel-belly design with six vertical keels, reducing its tendency to stick to surface obstacles while improving its ability to slip through cover. In addition, the externally mounted metal weight preserves the volume of air inside the body and improves castability for its compact size. The low center of gravity helps prevent the frog from flipping over, contributing to more stable action and hook-setting performance. The basic retrieve is to pull it across the surface with a normal retrieve, while rod work produces a continuous walking action. For open water and light cover, MH- to H-power tackle is recommended; for heavy cover such as water chestnut and matted debris, it is intended to be paired with a heavy baitcasting rod and heavier line. The belly connector eye can also be fitted with an optional blade for tuning.
