Evergreen Sledge

EVERGREEN’s Sledge is a series of compact jerkbaits designed to make the lure slide widely from side to side during a jerk, focusing on presenting the lure within a limited area without moving it too far toward the angler. The lineup includes the Super Sledge, featuring sharp, irregular darts produced by the C.B.S. (Counter Balance System), and the Ultra Sledge, which can probe deeper water. The Super Sledge’s body minimizes air resistance for consistent long-distance casting performance, while its insert flash plate produces alternating light-and-dark flashes during jerks. C.B.S. combines a main weight with a counterweight positioned in the back, allowing the lure to make wide lateral darts even with light twitches and quickly recover its posture after a jerk.

The Ultra Sledge is available in a weight-transfer model and a fixed-center-of-gravity model equipped with C.B.S. Its square, flat line tie produces sliding darts that are less affected by the lure’s posture in the water. The weight-transfer model is designed to achieve a class-leading casting distance and can also be used for dragging to probe the 4–5 m range. The Super Sledge measures 6.0 cm, weighs 5.0 g, is suspending, and has a diving range of 1.0–2.0 m. The Ultra Sledge measures 6.0 cm, weighs 5.5 g, is suspending, and has a diving range of 1.5–2.5 m. For both models, the standard setup is a size 0 lure snap at the line tie, size 1 split rings at the front and rear hook hangers, and size 10 hooks at the front and rear.
