Water Land G-Rex Grub

WaterLand’s G-Rex Grub revives the legendary worm that dominated the bass boom of the 1990s, bearing the name Rex—meaning “king” or “ruler.” Its defining feature is the ultra-thin tail at the rear of the body. The tail responds flexibly to even slight water movement or a retrieve, allowing the lure to work at an ultra-dead-slow retrieve speed where standard grubs often struggle to produce action. The basic presentation is a slow, steady retrieve that makes the tail gently sway as it swims, while varying the retrieve speed as conditions dictate can bring out additional tail action.

The lineup includes 4-inch and 5-inch sizes. The 4-inch model is compact and easy to handle, while the 5-inch model makes it easier to create a more substantial, high-profile presentation. Both models center around the characteristic curly-tail action of a grub and are well suited to probing the water column with a slow presentation. Rather than being designed to displace a large amount of water, this revival grub worm is meant to be worked by taking advantage of the delicate vibrations and natural undulation created by its ultra-thin tail.
