Imakatsu Rainbow Tube

IMAKATSU’s Rainbow Tube is a tube bait developed to create a “highly translucent, highly buoyant hollow realistic worm.” A tail is added to the hollow tube body, while a fully unsinkable construction helps prevent water from entering the air chamber. In addition to the high buoyancy created by the large air chamber, the reflection and transmission of light through the air inside, combined with the slimy-looking coloration created by the dipping finish, produces a refractive mirror camouflage effect.

The tail features a LIVE Bone Tail molded with an exceptionally delicate mold, designed so that part of it moves naturally even while the bait is paused. The front of the body is molded with extra thickness, helping the hollow worm achieve longer casting distance while also providing enough material for hook insertion without affecting the air chamber. In addition to surface presentations such as dying rigs and “Pikupiku” techniques that take advantage of its high buoyancy, inserting a jighead through only a thin layer of the upper body for a Hover Strolling or Mid-Strolling presentation produces a sharp rolling action. A nail sinker can be inserted into the thick section at the front of the body, allowing fine adjustments to its posture.
