Imakatsu Oni Viral RS

IMAKATSU’s Oni Viral RS is a floating prop bait designed to rotate its front and rear props in sync, even on an extremely slow, nearly dead-slow retrieve. Its body is enlarged to 145% of the preceding Viral 70 body, providing enough buoyancy to accommodate large props. Measuring 100 mm in length and weighing 14.5 g, the body is shaped to imitate a shrimp. Its undulating outer profile and deeply articulated design catch the current and create a moderate pulling resistance during the retrieve, rather than relying solely on the rotational resistance of the props.

The front is equipped with two props designed to maximize water disturbance, while the rear features a three-blade prop that readily grabs water even in turbulent flow and starts rotating with minimal current. The front and rear props have different shapes for synchronized rotation, and the modified tail design helps smooth out turbulent water, allowing the bait to respond even when retrieved with slack in the line. The props are made from SUS304 spring material, selected for its light weight, strength, and quick start-up. It also comes standard with a stopper for installing an FD Guard to help avoid obstacles, as well as a quick-changer hanger for adding weight. The bait is designed not only for a steady retrieve, but also for probing the surface with an extremely slow retrieve while keeping both front and rear props rotating.
