IMAKATSU’s Rainbow Blade is a next-generation chatterbait featuring a “Glide Eye,” which allows the chatter blade to move back and forth and automatically adjust its position according to the retrieve speed. It was designed by combining the experience cultivated through IMAKATSU’s chatterbait development, including the Mogulla Chatter Blade, with Kazufumi Yamaoka’s theories and perspective.
The Glide Eye moves the blade into a position where it can efficiently catch water, maintaining the lure’s action from ultra-high-speed retrieves to a curved fall. The blade continues moving even during a curved fall with reduced line tension, while during a free fall with no tension at all, it folds toward the body, allowing the lure to fall straight down. Its super-high-pitch action, developed with Japanese fishing environments in mind, is another key feature, producing vibrations and a scratching sound that can be felt through the rod even at long distances. The lineup includes 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz models, and a setup paired with the Bakusoku Shad is presented as providing swimming balance.
