Imakatsu Wriggler

IMAKATSU’s Wriggler is a straight worm featuring a body design engineered around water resistance during shaking and swimming presentations on a neko rig. Simply changing the hook placement produces different actions. Developed by professional angler Satoshi Aoki, it allows you to switch between a shake mode that minimizes forward movement and a swimming mode with moderate vibration.

The body features a predominantly flat-sided design developed with improved hook-up ratios in mind. It is also designed to help prevent snags even when used with an unguarded hook, and accommodates a setup that makes it easier to avoid getting hung up by operating it with the line kept relatively taut. Changing the hook position lets you tune the action from a shake with minimal forward movement to a swimming action that advances while wobbling the body. Available in 3.5-inch and 4.5-inch sizes, it can be selected according to the conditions and desired feel. Primarily designed for subtly enticing fish near the bottom on a neko rig, it allows you to tailor the action to the target depth and amount of movement by adjusting the hook position and line tension.
