Imakatsu Gentabow

IMAKATSU’s GENTABOW is a straight worm designed for high-pressure bass lurking in muddy-bottom super-shallow water. It supports techniques ranging from slowly presenting the bait weightless to creating reaction bites with a sinker. Despite its high specific gravity, the worm features a flat bottom that allows it to sink slowly, helping prevent it from burying itself in the mud on the bottom and maintaining a stable posture with reduced rolling onto its side. The pectoral-fin-like projections on both sides tremble subtly as the bait falls and function as stabilizers after it reaches the bottom.

The waist at the center of the bottom causes the body to flex during weightless twitches or quick actions with a sinker, producing a powerful kicking action similar to that of a paddle-tail worm. The upturned bottom at the head reduces forward movement during darting motions, creating a hopping escape action. The reverse rib slits on the front sides help push water and provide braking, making it easier to suppress the bait’s movement at the desired spot. The center slit at the rear of the bottom makes the body easier to compress, helping prevent the hook from pulling free during the hookset. While weightless fall-and-stay presentations are the basic approach, the GENTABOW can also be used for twitches, suspended shaking, football jigs, Texas rigs, free rigs, and heavy Carolina rigs, and is compatible with offset-hook rigging.
