Imakatsu Skinny Eel Crawler

IMAKATSU’s Skinny eel Crawler is a straight worm developed with an extremely slim silhouette and lifelike suppleness to avoid alerting bass and encourage them to bite naturally. Available in 3-inch and 4-inch sizes, the 3-inch model is designed for a compact, bite-focused presentation. The head is designed thicker than the slender body and can accommodate a nail sinker weighing up to 2.2 g. The body’s firmness and elasticity help it retain its shape when left on the lake bottom or shaken, delivering a presence that belies its size.

The primary rig is the neko rig, and it is compatible with ultra-high-speed Mach shaking using a rod known as a “Pokey Rod,” modified from an ajing blank, as well as with bait finesse tackle. In addition to shaking it in place on the bottom, it is also suited to presentations that gradually move the bait while enticing fish. When shaken slightly off the bottom in a swimming presentation, it can be made to swim with a consistent rhythm. Around shallow-water vegetation, it can also be fished near the surface with a swimming shake, while in sight-fishing situations, it is used by placing it on the lake bottom to entice fish. The basic setup is to insert the nail sinker into the thick head and rig the bait neko style.
