IMAKATSU’s REPLICATOR is a big bait featuring a three-jointed body combined with three interchangeable tail types, allowing the setup to be adjusted according to conditions and target presentation. By switching between the flat tail, boot tail, and Javallon tail, anglers can achieve different buoyancy settings and actions. With the standard treble-hook configuration and flat tail, the jointed construction produces a soft, S-shaped action, along with a self-generated action that keeps the body subtly moving even while paused. On a jerk, it produces side-to-side sliding darts, and the jointed design makes it easy to control the direction of the dart.

With the boot tail, it produces an I-shaped swimming action with a tail-wagging motion during a dead-slow retrieve; as the retrieve speed increases, the multi-jointed body transitions into an evasive action with a vibrating motion. When fitted with the Javallon tail, it becomes a four-jointed bait that generates a shivering action, as if the entire body were trembling. It is suitable for surface dead-sticking, jerking, and ultra-high-speed retrieves. With the flat tail, it is dead-slow floating; with the boot tail, floating; and with the Javallon tail, slow floating, so buoyancy can be adjusted with adhesive lead strips as needed. The basic length is 17.5 cm with the flat tail, 18.5 cm with the boot tail, and 22 cm with the Javallon tail; all versions weigh 2.4 oz.
