IMAKATSU’s VARIUSGOBBY is a thin, curly-tail worm that recreates, using modern precision molding technology, the once-discussed Lake Biwa idea that “worms with molding burrs catch fish.” Its development centers on reproducing the subtle lifelike presence and water-gripping performance of conventional molding burrs with an ultra-thin edge molded to the limits of mold precision.

The body features a ring-rib design based on the Ankle Body, while the long curly tail is equipped with a U-tail featuring an offset, ultra-thin edge. The tail continues moving even in slight currents, generating high-speed vibration. Combined with the body ribs, it produces a subtle action. Ribs are also incorporated along the sides of the tail, helping prevent it from sticking to the rod and making it easier to maintain a consistent rhythm during retrieves.

It accommodates a variety of rigs to suit different conditions, including jig heads and heavy drop-shot rigs. Its stable swimming posture resists spinning during the fall and also supports presentations that incorporate swimming action. If the head becomes torn by the hook, the damaged portion can be cut off for continued use. Available in approximately 4-inch and 5-inch sizes.
