Imakatsu Stealth Swimmer — Features & specifications
Imakatsu’s STEALTH Swimmer was developed to let anglers work a swimbait through complex cover and vegetation while avoiding snags by keeping the hook concealed inside the body. Its hollow soft body houses a movable stealth hook system (PAT & PAT.P), secured by neodymium magnets. When line tension is applied after a bite, the body flexes, and the restoring force combined with the leverage of the movable jig head causes the hook to deploy through the slit in the back. Positioning the hook eye at the nose of the body is designed to transfer force more efficiently to the hook point.
For basic operation, choose either a weightless-style or heavy-weight jig head according to the target depth, then retrieve it slowly at a steady speed while allowing it to make moderate contact with cover, vegetation, rocks, or the bottom. Because the hook is concealed, the bait can also be worked with continuous darting and flashing rolls produced by jerking. The jig head can be removed and replaced, and the weight can be adjusted using the hook hanger under the chin or the weight holes in the head. In the weightless configuration, the main hook can be removed and a treble hook added as a tuning option. In addition to the 160 mm STEALTH Swimmer, the lineup includes the Baby STEALTH Swimmer, which features a compact 130 mm body. Different jig head setups allow the baits to be used with weights ranging from light to heavy. After use, dry any moisture inside the body and store it in a way that prevents the tail or body from deforming.
