Imakatsu Salty Mach Sonic

IMAKATSU’s Salty “MACH” Sonic is a metal vibration lure based on the original Salty Sonic, featuring a titanium plate made from ultra-lightweight, high-strength metal to enhance responsiveness and vibration performance. The 9g model measures 60mm in length. Its long, slim minnow-shaped profile creates a baitfish-inspired silhouette, while its high responsiveness allows it to start vibrating quickly with even a slight short lift. It produces high-pitch vibration reminiscent of the “MACH” concept. The clear vibration generated by its rigid metal construction helps maintain a stable action even when using heavier line, making it suitable for everything from long-distance casting to vertical presentations in extremely deep water.

The body is equipped with a magnetic weight-transfer system, while the lip—slightly longer than usual despite its short-bill design—helps the lure reach deeper ranges more easily and produces sharp darting action. It features a three-hole line-tie system. Position 1 at the front produces a wider vibration and rises quickly, making it ideal for high lifts. Position 2 in the center is the standard setting, offering a good balance between retrieve action and lift. Position 3 at the rear produces a tight vibration and resists rising, making it suitable for lift-and-fall presentations near the bottom and short lifts. The ability to select the line-tie position according to the target range and desired action is another key feature.
