IMAKATSU jig heads are designed as replacement heads for adjusting the weight and running depth of the Stealth Swimmer and Baby Stealth Swimmer. Stealth Swimmer jig heads include options such as Extra Heavy for probing deeper water in addition to the standard weightless head, allowing anglers to switch between jig heads on the same body. Baby Stealth Swimmer jig heads are also available in light- and heavy-weight configurations: the light-weight version is designed for targeting the surface to approximately 2 m, while the heavy-weight version is intended for depths of 2–4 m.
The compatible Stealth Swimmer series bodies feature a Stealth Hook System that stores the hook inside the hollow soft body. This design keeps the hook concealed rather than exposed externally. When a fish bites, line tension causes the body to flex, and the internal hook is deployed through the slit along the back in conjunction with the movable jig head. With the jig head eye positioned toward the front of the body, power is transferred more easily to the hook point, while the rig remains capable of being worked through bushes and around weeds.
When fishing, change heads according to the target depth and the density of cover. The basic presentation is a steady retrieve while allowing the lure to swim in contact with structure or the bottom. It can also be used with darts and jerks, as well as for targeting the edges of cover and deeper water with a heavy-weight head. When attaching or removing the head, wet the underside of the body with water or a similar liquid to improve slip, and work carefully to avoid damaging the interior.
