Imakatsu Huddle Swimmer

IMAKATSU’s Huddle Swimmer is a swimbait-style soft lure that inherits the Huddletail design from Huddleston, pursuing the natural vibration and horizontal posture of a baitfish. Only the tail moves rhythmically from side to side, while the body is designed to avoid transmitting excessive action, creating an unsuspecting swimming motion while moving a substantial amount of water. The tail and fins are designed specifically for each size, helping the lure resist rising even when retrieved slowly and making it easy to maintain a consistent depth.

The basic presentation is a dead-slow retrieve on a weightless rig, with the focus on moving the tail like a metronome. It can also be used with a subtle twitching action that moves the tail while minimizing forward movement on the surface. Depending on conditions, it can be rigged on a Texas rig, drop-shot rig, nail rig, wacky rig, or jighead rig. The realistic colors feature a mica finish on the surface, producing changing reflections and translucency depending on how the light strikes them.

The elastomer model offers high buoyancy and durability, and is designed to help maintain a horizontal posture even when rigged with an offset hook. It is also suited to suspending around cover or shaking it to hover in the midwater column, with a setup using a fine-wire hook intended for these applications. Because the standard model, elastomer model, realistic colors, and flash-plate versions differ in material and appearance, they can be selected according to the target depth and presentation style.
