Abu Garcia Beast

Abu Garcia’s Beast is a floating bait designed with an emphasis on customization, allowing anglers to adjust the running depth and action by combining different lips and tails. The lips can be switched between lipless, bent round, and square types, while the running depth and action of the round lip can be changed by altering its mounting orientation. In addition, combining the three tail options—PVC, marabou, and Colorado—allows for more than 10 different configurations. Weight can also be adjusted using the sinker eye, enabling presentations tailored to each combination, from the surface and just below the surface to shallow and mid-range depths.

The 175F measures 175 mm and weighs 54 g, while the 145F measures 145 mm and weighs 33 g. The recommended hook sizes are #2 for the 175F and #4 for the 145F. The 175F offers a wide range of movement and swims stably and easily from super-dead-slow to fast retrieves, while also supporting table turns in tight spots. In the lipless configuration, it can be used for glide actions, fast retrieves just below the surface, mid-range cranking, and dead-slow wake actions when paired with the marabou tail. Rather than simply using the basic configuration, this model can be fine-tuned to suit the fishing conditions and target depth by changing the combination of lip, tail, and weight.
