Active’s Air Vent Needle is a needle-shaped tool for venting bass caught in deep water, helping prepare them for weigh-ins or release. Its design allows air trapped inside the fish to escape into the water through the needle. The S and L sizes can be selected according to the fish’s size and the insertion point.
The standard lineup includes two sizes, S and L. The S measures 55 mm overall, with a 36 mm needle length and 1.26 mm needle diameter. The L measures 83 mm overall, with a 65 mm needle length and 0.82 mm needle diameter. To use, insert the air vent needle at approximately a 45-degree angle into the designated position and release the air while the fish is in the water. As a general rule, do not force the air out; stop once the air has escaped naturally. Choose the S or L according to the size of the fish and the needle length required for the situation.
