JACKALL’s RIPPIN POD is a double-prop bait designed for the “ripping” technique, in which a jerk action creates a splash, brings the lure to the surface, and triggers bites. It is equipped with specially designed titanium props at the front and rear, producing a distinctive metallic sound unlike the popping sound of a popper. The front prop is a symmetrical, high-response design that minimizes the lure’s sliding and forward travel, while the rear prop is an asymmetrical, high-torque design that disperses water and creates splashes to attract fish. The front and rear props rotate in opposite directions, helping prevent the body from spinning. When the lure is paused, the longer side of the rear prop faces downward, contributing to a smooth start-up action.

The body is made of specially shaped, high-buoyancy ABS. Rather than using internal fixed weights, it achieves a low center of gravity with an external metal bumper that positions the weight outside the body. This helps suppress the lure from rolling onto its side under the force of the props, resulting in a stable action. It can be used with a combination of jerks and rises when targeting pinpoint areas beside structure or responding to shrimp boils, and it also handles standard retrieves. By attaching the included custom blade to the eye at the center of the body, the lure can be converted for dead-slow retrieves. When customizing the lure, remove the center hook together with the split ring and attach the included blade. The blade is designed to make irregular contact with the rear prop, producing a metallic sound and an irregular action. The hooks are ST36MF #4.
