Imakatsu FD Vibe

IMAKATSU’s FD-VIB is a rattle-type vibration lure developed around the FD Guard System concept to target cover and bottom areas that have traditionally been difficult for vibration lures to handle. This 63 mm, 16 g sinking model is designed to combine the snag resistance of its wire guard with the natural vibration action expected of a vibration lure.

On the underside of the body is an assist lip called the “Aero Fin,” which applies the raised shape commonly seen on the weighted section of metal vibration lures. Its shape converts incoming water flow into vibration, helping the lure maintain its action even when the wire is attached. The wire is made from 0.6 mm hardened stainless steel, designed not to bend excessively when contacting obstacles and to help the lure navigate cover. A sound model featuring internal brass balls is also available, producing a high-pitched, crisp action and a rounded, rattling sound.

Adjusting the wire angle allows the lure to be configured for different applications. Closing the wire enables a stand-up mode for techniques such as lift-and-fall presentations, allowing the lure to stand on the bottom. Opening the wire forward sets it up in a snag-resistant mode for retrieving around cover. The front of the body features a quick hanger for attaching a sinker, allowing weight adjustments when fishing during high water or strong winds, or when probing deeper ranges.
