RAID JAPAN’s DODGE is a topwater plug designed as a winged crawler bait to swim slowly across the surface with a crawling action. Its 114.0 mm, 1 oz-class body features an elongated, baitfish-like silhouette and a nearly circular cross-sectional shape. After landing, it can be worked across the surface with a steady retrieve to produce a crawling action. The wings move easily even at dead-slow retrieve speeds, making a constant-speed retrieve the basic presentation for targeting fish focused on the surface near cover or along the bank.

The lineup also includes the DEKA DODGE, which features an enlarged body. Measuring 130.5 mm and weighing 2 oz class, the DEKA DODGE is not simply an upsized version; its increased width and thickness are designed to produce stronger surface vibrations and a more substantial presence than the original model. The DODGE and DEKA DODGE can be selected according to the desired level of attraction and silhouette. Marabou Hooks are also available as replacement parts, with the lustrous, gently undulating marabou material adding movement underwater. The basic presentation is a slow retrieve; adjusting the speed while checking how the wings open and move makes it easier to understand the lure’s condition.
