OSP Bent Minnow

OSP’s BENT MINNOW is a surface plug that produces curving, writhing movements unlike those of conventional lipped minnows, along with unpredictable, natural 3D darting action, thanks to its body curved at the precise angle. When floated on its side at the surface, it creates the silhouette of a weakened, dying baitfish drifting in the water. A light shake while the lure is paused generates subtle ripples. The curved body produces unique flashes during movement, while twitches trigger quick darts with minimal start-up distance and a three-dimensional escape action that changes irregularly in every direction—up, down, left, right, and diagonally.

The basic technique is “twitch and pause”: give the lure two or three light twitches, then let it rise and pause. Softening your rod work creates the movement of a weakened baitfish fleeing, then resting. Repeated twitches across the surface imitate baitfish frantically fleeing across the water while being pursued, and the 86F can also produce a subtle-vibration rolling action with a slow retrieve. The lineup includes the 76F, 86F, 106F, and 130F. The 4.3g 76F is designed for small baitfish and highly pressured conditions; the 5.9g 86F; the 10g 106F, which retains the original action while increasing appeal; and the 130F, with a 20g body focused on casting distance, is designed for targeting situations involving larger baitfish.
